Dr. Realgood’s wonder wellness Test: A (sur)real Sound Announcement

Come one, come all…Lead your ear and give a listen. Warning: Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. To avoid a scene, keep your workplace clean. If you give somebody a hand, make sure there is a glove on it. When the sun is glowing and frying your head, find some shade and water instead. Ignoring a warning can cause much mourning. Use your brain. Avoid the Strain. Falling objects can be brutal if you don’t protect your noodle. Remember: Safety rules are your best tools. Be aware, Take care.

The Garden of earthly insights (episode 1)

In this podcast episode, “The Garden of Earthy Insights,” we will explore the Missoko Bwiti tradition of Gabon, based on a conversation which took place in August 2018 with 10th generation Bwiti Shaman Moughenda Mikela. This podcast episode includes songs from a full-length music album, “Calling the Spirits: Missoko Bwiti Music of Gabon,” which has been released on the label “This Moment Records” (https://thismomentrecords.bandcamp.com/). The conversation with Moughenda is divided into three parts with short mougongo (mouth bow) songs between each part. Part one provides an introduction to the Missoko Bwiti community. In part two, Moughenda shares Iboga’s origin story, and in part three, he discusses the role of music within the tradition.
